Chief Executive Officer
Michelle Blouin-Williams was born, raised, and educated in New Orleans. She has deep ties to the community and extensive leadership experience in the field of education. Michelle became the Chief Executive Officer of New Beginnings Schools Foundation (NBSF) in July of 2016. As CEO, Michelle oversees all four schools, specifically working to increase academic support, special programs, and extracurricular activities. With her expertise in leadership and education, she manages operations and employs best practices for each school.
The notion that collaboration is essential to success continuously influences Michelle's approach. Michelle began her transition as CEO with collaborative meetings including board members, administrators and family groups to develop plans to ensure the academic growth of each student. She is committed to excellence, and will continue to build on the schools' many successes.
Before joining the NBSF Family, Michelle served as Senior Chief Administrative Officer of the Orleans Parish School Board, where she oversaw district run non-academic operations, administrative functions, and district-wide initiatives. Her tenure as an educational leader includes serving as the Chief Human Capital Officer, Mathematics Teacher, Secondary Mathematics Consultant, Chief Academic Officer, Network Executive Director, and Deputy/Acting Superintendent in Jefferson Parish. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Masters of Arts in the Science of Teaching Mathematics from the University of New Orleans.
